​I know choosing someone to look after your pets is a big decision. Here are some of the questions you might like to know about StayPaws Cat Sitting Service. If you don’t see the answer you’re looking for, please just get in touch. I’m always happy to help!
Do you only look after cats?
Cats are my speciality, but I’m also happy to care for small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters.
What areas do you cover?
Based in Hampstead Norreys, I cover surrounding villages in West Berkshire. (see Prices page for full list).
How do I book?
Simply get in touch with me to arrange a free meet & greet. From there we confirm dates, details, and key collection.
How much does it cost?
Prices start from £12 per visit. I offer lots of options, so please see my prices page for a full price list and optional extras.
What happens with my house keys?
Your keys are stored securely at my home, never labelled with your address on, and will be returned to you as instructed after your booking.
What happens if my pet becomes ill while I'm away?
If your pet seems unwell, I’ll contact you straight away with an update. In an emergency, I will take them to your nominated vet (or the nearest available) and make sure they’re cared for until you’re back. Vet costs remain the owner’s responsibility, but you can feel reassured that your pet will never be left without help or comfort.
Will my home be left clean?
Yes! feeding areas, bowls and litter trays are cleaned at every visit, and your home is kept tidy. I offer an optional light downstairs clean add-on, meaning you can return home to happy pets and a home that looks and smells clean and fresh!
How long do visits last?
Standard visits are around 15 minutes, which is usually perfect for feeding, cleaning and some affection.
If you’d like me to spend longer with your pets, you can book a longer visit add-on for extra grooming, cuddles or playtime.
Are you DBS checked?
I am DBS checked and also hold specialist pet sitting insurance, which includes public liability, key cover and protection for animals in my care. I’m confident and experienced in handling cats and small pets and will always treat them with patience, care and respect.
Do you look after Dogs?
Unfortunately no. Cats and smaller animals are my specialty. However, I know a lovely lady called Sara based in Hampstead Norreys who can help with your dogs! Visit her website here: saralaney.co.uk
What cleaning products do you use for feeding areas?
All feeding and water areas will be cleaned with pet-safe products to make sure your pets stay safe and healthy. If you’d prefer, I’m also happy to use your own cleaning products, just let me know at the meet & greet.
How far in advance should I book?
It’s best to book as early as possible, especially for peak holiday times, as my diary fills up quickly. For last minute bookings, I’ll always try my best to help, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
